The Model 3 hardware is the successor to the SEGA Model 2 platform and was released in 1996. The Model 3 hardware is completely different to its predecessors. Design of the Model 3 was achieved with only one purpose in mind, that is graphics performance. Upon release it was the most powerful board available for arcade platforms in the market. Sega Rally 2 was developed by SEGA and first released in arcades in Febuary 1998. It is considered by many as one of the best rally games in the arcades. It is the sequel to SEGA 1994 Sega Rally Championship and like its predecessor the objective of the game is to successfully drive along a track while reaching checkpoints to drive on. Sega Rally 2 added new rally cars and better graphics. Circuits include desert, mountain, snow and the riviera.
